Audi on demand is a system comprised of hardware and software contained in the Audi vehicle, an Audi on demand mobile app to be installed on your mobile device, a web portal, and back-end services supplied by Audi, its affiliates, and third-party business partners. Third parties are used for payment processing, credit card handling, parking administration and for certain other functions.
Information About You
We, or our partners, collect the following information when you provide it to us online or in person:
Unique Identifiers, Device Information, and Geo-Location.
We also collect the following identifiers and tracking information from your mobile device, from the Audi on demand hardware installed on the Audi vehicle, or from your Internet browser on a desktop or laptop:
Vehicle Operations and Usage Data
When you use Audi on demand, various categories of information will be stored within the Audi vehicle and may be transmitted during or after your use of the vehicle. This data includes the operational status of the Audi vehicle, including the engine, mirrors, brakes, temperature, fluids, vehicle speed, transmission, fuel level, battery, inspection information, key access, steering wheel, headlights, whether doors or hood are opened, and other data points related to the access, status, location, and operation of the vehicle. Some of this information may be transmitted while the vehicle is being operated, while other categories of information are available to Audi once vehicles are returned.
We use the information we collect to maintain our vehicle fleet, provide the full range of Audi on demand services, and find missing or stolen vehicles. We may de-identify and aggregate certain records so that the information no longer reasonably identifies you or the Audi vehicle you used, for purposes of research and product development.
We share information, including personal information, with our affiliates and third party business partners for the limited purpose of providing certain Audi on demand services, processing payments, improving our services, maintaining our fleet, performing other Audi on demand functions, and for marketing other Audi services and products to you. Neither Audi nor its business partners will use your information for purposes outside of those contemplated by this Privacy Statement.
We may share information about your use of Audi on demand to comply with legal orders and requests from law enforcement or other government bodies; as required by law or regulation; to protect the rights or safety of Audi of America, our corporate affiliates, our customers, the public, or others; to combat fraud or criminal activity; or with your consent.
